Michael Zornes, Beloved Brother and Community Advocate, Passes Away, Family Works to Bring Him Home from California to Ohio
Michael Zornes passed away unexpectedly, leaving family, friends, and his community in profound grief.
Known for his warmth and kindness, Michael had a smile that could light up any room and a heart that always reached out to help others.
Born in Olive Hill, Kentucky, Michael graduated from West Carter High School and Morehead State University, where he was an enthusiastic member of the cheerleading squad.
After moving to Columbus, Ohio, he lived with cousins who were like sisters, and later became president of his apartment complex tenant association in San Francisco, California, treating neighbors like family.
Michael is survived by his brothers David and Jonathan (Shawn), and is fondly remembered as the son of Linda and the late Leon. He also adored his dog, Squinch.
Friends and family have shared heartfelt messages online, remembering Michael’s generosity and the joy he brought to everyone he met.
